ICU will defend rights of trade participants 

Independent Consumers Union (ICU) begins enlightment measures for electron trade participants on the purpose of decreasing the suspense to infringe consumers’ rights in the process of direct selling from distance, taking into account the development of electron marketing in Azerbaijan lately. During last days a number of appeals entered from the subjects acting in the electron trade sphere in the country. Investigation of information shows high development of electron trade, direct selling marketing in the recent years, meanwhile arising of necessity of enlightening the active persons in this sphere, and participants of electron trade about consumers’ rights.Taking into account this necessity, ICU with a group of authoritative representatives of V İnternational Trading Company in Baku carried out enlightening concerning the consumers’ rights. Managers of QNet Company and V İnternational Trading Company, which are international trading companies, also took part in the measure.

The chairman of ICU gave wide information to the representatives of international companies,and local persons who are participants of electron trade about the legislation of Azerbaijan Republic on defense of consumers’ rights, recommended to the persons who are mediating in elecrton trade turnover to pay attention seriously the defense of consumers’ rights, any local or foreign participants of electron trade to keep attentively the state laws. The chairman of ICU declared that defense of electron trade participants’ rights as all consumers, including the rights of persons consume products and services of QNet Company will be provided by ICU disinterestedly in any instances. With this purpose commission on monitoring the electron trade market and defense of consumers’ rights has begun activity in ICU. The comission will periodically do monitoring on defense of consumers’ rights and will continue enlightment measures in this direction. Holding of trainings, carrying on queries among the consumers have been taken into account in the frame of enlightment measures.
